About us.

NightDragon is a wholly privately funded independent feature film. NightDragon is a dark suspenseful drama, of love and forgiveness overcoming violence and betrayal. A small cabal of professional criminals attempt to extort information from a beautiful but naive lawyer, but are betrayed from within when Liz, one of their number falls in love with the victim. The original script is written by Tim Biddiscombe and Drew Cullingham.

Tim Biddiscombe (Director) and Drew Cullingham (Director of Photography) are independent filmmakers. We have worked together on short films, music videos and corporate promos.

Tim has had many music videos nationally broadcast, along with short films that have been shortlisted for various festivals, including the 48 hour film challenge. Drew has extensive experience in the corporate and television arenas, both as DOP and as a director in his own right.

NightDragon will be a SwissFilms production.

The confirmed Crew is :

Tim Biddiscombe (Director, Producer, co-writer)
Tim has been directing for 7 years. Tim's credits include the nationally broadcast music video Sword of Fire up for Air Hammer, and the film festival shortlisted My body crumbles, as well as co-producer/writer for Die Spy, a feature film in development with Loud Mouse Productions.

Drew Cullingham (DP, co-writer)
Drew has vast experience as a Director of Photography in corporate & TV programming, aswell as many short to medium length films. As a director Drew has also shot many short films, giving him a valuable understanding of the overall process, and being able to anticipate the demanding directors needs!

Maxwell Smith (1st AD)
It's great to get Max on the project. With a track record six feature films long as AD, there's no-one better to be holding the NightDragon reins, making sure we come in on time.

Torie Ruskin (Continuity, costume & Pre Production Manager)
A highly motivated, intelligent, and resourceful person. With Torie by your side, all things feel possible. Trust me.

Steve Haren (Editor)
Steve joins us from a strong background in assistant editing large feature films. His eye for detail, creative flair and appreciation of character and plot nuances is going to be vital in locking a really great cut by the end of October.

Charlie Falconer (Production Designer)
A creative and talented person who's finding us the most amazing locations to film in, and providing a valuable insight into what the characters (especially Millie) would decorate their places with.

Lisala Dolo (Sound recordist)
A great sound man with years of experience behind him, we're counting on him to get us the great sound on location that's vital.

Kerry Hammond (Special FX makeup artist)
A recent graduate with a flair for special fx, Kerry is exactly what we need to add the gruesome element to the nightdragon tale.

Alistair Moore (Boom operator)
A fine boom man, with a touch of Batman in his makeup, as evidenced by climbing on roofs to sound insulate skylights.

Chantell Roy (hair & makeup artist)
Experienced and dedicated, Chantell is a great makeup artist, also great at keeping morale up on those long summer nights filming out & about.

Garfield Carrott (assistant to the DOP)
Fast, resourceful and lively, Garfield is a good man to have around as long as there are no dogs to chase him!

Mark Holland (fight choreographer)
Trained by a member of the Jackie Chan stunt team, Mark joins us with a wealth of experience on combat and weapons. Just don’t upset him when he’s armed!

Andy Smart (stuntman)
With a wealth of stunt experience in films such as V for Vendetta and Shaun of the Dead, Andy is the perfect guy to hit with a car in one of our main stunts. Actually he’s such a nice guy we felt very bad about doing it!

Steve Norris (stills photography)
An experienced feature stills photographer, Steve’s photos so far have been very impressive

Jodie Bailey (stills photography)
A rock journalist with a great background in stills photography, her photos and eye for the moment are both fantastic.

Luke Biddiscombe (documentary crew)
The younger brother of the director, Luke is at film school and took some time out of his summer schedule to film the behind the scenes documentary for NightDragon, so some very good extras & featurettes for the DVD.

Tom Rowe (documentary crew & 2nd unit cameraman)
Another film school student, Tom joins us on documentary crew, and also supporting the DOP for a couple of key scenes.

Jahanzeb Hayat (Production Manager)
A better man to keep the day to day operations of the production running smoothly you could not hope to meet.

Spencer Meffert (assistant to the director)
Calm and level headed, Spencer flew over from America for the shoot, being the directors right hand.

Richard May (props assistant)
Clever and resourceful, the two things that typefy a good props assistant.

Philip Leech (front of house runner)
Reliable and quick thinking, this gentleman contributed hugely to a successful shoot.

Reshma Gajjar
With a sunny disposition and an intuitive understanding of our somewhat esoteric shot order, Resh has been very useful to have around indeed.

The confirmed Cast is :

Alan Ford.

Alan Ford (Hansen)

A fine actor with a unique and intense screen presence, his credits including such films as Snatch, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, The Long Good Friday, An American Werewolf in London, and numerous TV and and stage roles.

Imogen Church.

Imogen Church (Liz)

An experienced leading lady with a background covering both theatre and film, Imogen has distinguished herself with roles such as Sue in "The Zombie Diaries", and as Mary in the critically acclaimed play "A Dulditch Angel". We are confident that Imogen is the perfect actor to bring Liz to life, balancing pure looks and wicked heart to deliver the complex character to the screen.

Annette Kellow.

Annette Kellow (Millie)

Although only a year out of the prestigious Redroofs drama school, Annette has starred in several feature films, including "Death and Rejection","Hope Island", "Nine Lives London" and "It's all Gone Pete Tong". We have very high hopes that her emotionally intense portrayal of Millie, our innocent victim of NightDragon, is going to be something to be remembered for a long time.

James Fisher.

James Fisher (Beckett)

A well established and highly respected actor, he has appeared in feature film "Green Street" alongside Elijah Wood, and also played "Sam Fraser" in feature film "The Basement". 2005 also saw James take up lead and supporting roles in 3 other feature films. WW2 film "See It through", Brit horror "The Zombie Diaries" and romantic comedy "3 Minute Moments". 2006 continued with lead roles in feature films "Nine Lives London" and "Hellbride".

Scott Thomas.

Scott Thomas (Christian)

A recent graduate from the Oxford School of Drama yet already on his second feature film, Scott Thomas is a rising star with a dominating screen presence, making him ideal for the role of Christian, the vicious and sadistic yet intellectually lacking villain.

Russell Jones (Tom)

His background has been of playing dangerous characters in many mediums, including Casualty, Torchwood and most recently the acclaimed Zombie Diaries. It was a great challenge for both Russell and us, to play a nice (if slightly sleazy) guy who briefly becomes the hero of the piece.

Nick Stanley (Heath)

A semi-regular on emmerdale, with a extensive theatre background, Nick is perfect for Heath, our two faced gemstone dealer with a particularly bad temper..
